Kick A** 2011 Debut Author Spotlight

Today, several of us in the blog-o-sphere are giving a great, big, gratuitous shout out to a 2011 debut that made us swoon. Thank you, Christina Lee, for parenting this brain-child and organizing us all!  Be sure to swing by her blog so you can check out some of the other spotlight debuts.

Now, there are some obvious choices, but I wanted to give my shout outs to some fantastic books that you might not know about: one mainstream, one indie.

My mainstream shout-out goes to Cara Lynn Shultz for Spellbound.  Why should you read it?
* Past lives meets an
* An unending curse meets
* Fantastic and relatable characters

My indie should out goes to Willow Cross for The Dark Gifts: Birthright.  Why should you read it?
* Because vampires are awesome
* Especially when they're warring with each other
* And a girl is the one who is kicking butt & taking names.

Haven't read either of these yet but I think it's so great you put an indie pick up as well! I wanted to- I've got three indie books awaiting on my kindle but haven't had time to read them yet:(

I love girls who kick butt, I'm going to have to add this book to my TBR pile.

I've heard great things about this book and can't wait to read it! I'm definitely bumping it up my TBR list.

I'm going to have to add both to my list. I'm a little (okay, a lot) behind on my reading, but they do sound good.
